Fishing4SquidDuck Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 I want to start making hard baits and my buddy is gonna make some soft baits . I was wondering if anyone could send me some pics or anything of stuff their proud of or just any of their handmades so I can get a feel for how they look and let me know how they swim and stuff. You could even send me your mistakes so I could look at them in person if no one minded. Would really appriciate it. I'm not completly sure on techniques and stuff. All help is welcome. Thanks in advance bassers!!! Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted May 16, 2011 Super User Posted May 16, 2011 You state that your buddy is going to make soft baits but you neglected to mention what you plan to make. My suggestion to you is go to www.tackleunderground.com and do some reading. Most everyone on that site is a bait maker. You can get info from the simplest to the most complicated bait making (soft plastics, jigs, swimbaits, spinnerbaits, etc.) Do some searches and you will be able to find instructions and pics of how to do most any thing you choose. Super User islandbass Posted May 16, 2011 Super User Posted May 16, 2011 Jig Man pointed you in the right direction. If you want to see samples of people's work here, just search some posts in this section. Big M, FishWhittler, just two to mention, and many others do some real kick-phanny work. I know how to make hard baits, but I can't paint worth a darn. Congrats to you and your buddy. It is one thing to catch a fish on an artificial, and no doubt it is a great feeling. However, to actually catching something you made yourself is simply indescribeable until you experience it. You'll be hooked in a new way, as fishing hooked you. Quote
