Black Spike-It Dye

I've moaned a few times that the Strike King Rage Tail Anaconda does not come in Black.

This week I threw a 10" Big Tex colored Anaconda in a fresh bag of black Producto Tournament Worms. They bled onto the Rage thus creating a darker version, exactly what I intended to do. However, it still wasn't pure black, the color I like to fish in low light/murky water conditions.

So later that night I went on-line to see if anyone sells a black dye so I can create the worm I desire.

Turns out that Spike-It makes a black dye. Not everyone carries it but TW does. Anyhow all this got me thinking so now I have a few questions for the fishing gurus here.

Has anyone used this color dye?

Does it turn the bait black or does it just darken it a bit?

Which color Anaconda would you think would convert to black easiest?

Is there another brand of such a dye that might work better?

Black food coloring will soak into your plastic.

i know this isnt very logical but usually a white or color close to it will absorb the color better, i dont know of any other dyes i just used food coloring

I've used Spike-it in chartruese, red, and orange and they pretty much always turn the bait to the color I want. I've use it most of the time on watermelon or green pumpkin colored baits but that might not be the best option. Don't spill it though, you'll never get that garlic smell out.
