Super User Jimzee Posted May 28, 2009 Super User Posted May 28, 2009 Those look great, but not worth $70. Go ahead and keep thinking that. : Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted May 28, 2009 Super User Posted May 28, 2009 Holy cow. That thing has the pike fisherman in me drooling...talk about an awesome early season ski bait. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted May 28, 2009 Super User Posted May 28, 2009 Those look great, but not worth $70. Ever used one of Matt's baits? I am not going to criticize you for not paying $70 for a bait, but you might want to see some of his stuff in person. They are taxidermy quality baits that catch mountable quality fish. Quote
Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted May 28, 2009 Super User Posted May 28, 2009 Those look great, but not worth $70. Go ahead and keep thinking that. : x3, you obviously don't know a phenomenal swimbait when you see one !!! that thing is BEAUTIFUL !!!!! quality that good , that's a steal............. Quote
Super User Raul Posted May 28, 2009 Super User Posted May 28, 2009 70 bucks doesn 't sound like much taking in consideration that Matt built it with HIS HANDS. It 's like purchasing a Katana sword built by Masamune himself. Quote
Eddie Munster Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 It 's like purchasing a Katana sword built by Masamune himself. I have a Hattori Hanzo sword I picked up from some blonde chick named Elle I was dating. Good looking but blind and mean as a snake. Quote
Super User South FLA Posted May 28, 2009 Super User Posted May 28, 2009 Those look great, but not worth $70. Come on guys, don't flame the dude, he's a new board member! Anyway, I can attest to the detail and craftsmanship to Matt Lures and until see one and use one yourself, pictures are only that, pictures. It may not be worth it to you, but some of us lure junkies will gladly pay that and dare I say more. Quote
Mattlures Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 You guys are awsome. I understand thats alot to pay for any bait. I realy do. If I could make them with less of my time they would cost less. Trust me I aint getting rich! ;D As with any handmade non high production product, They will cost a little more. These products are not for evryone but Its nice to have options Quote

These products are not for evryone but Its nice to have options After seeing the sneak peeks of this bait over the last year, I really thought we would be looking at a $80+ bait. $70 seems like a steal, as did your hardgill at $50. But once again I have an itch for quality baits. Not all people are like me I have a buddy that i'm fishing with tomorrow who has one of your new baits (He won't tell me how he got it though :-/). He told me if I bring beer, I can throw it ;D Quote
Super User CWB Posted May 28, 2009 Super User Posted May 28, 2009 Holy cow. That thing has the pike fisherman in me drooling...talk about an awesome early season ski bait. X2 Looks good enough to fillet. $70.00. Ouch. Smaller version would be dynamite up here. 5"? Hint Hint. Quote
BARON49_Northern NY Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Bottom line is if you are fishing waters with a lot of Pickeral, Northern Pike, and Muskys losing a $70 lure to a bite off is not a good thing. Quote
ShouldBe0utdoors Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Let me rephrase what I posted earlier. I can't afford one of those, but they do look phenomenal. Quote
CODbasser Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 catch a 15 + lb california lmb on it and you will think its worth 70 bucks...those are made for big trophy bass... Quote
T RAV29 Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Those look like good swimbaits. To know that they are handmade makes it even better. I may have to get some. Quote

It 's like when you purchase a custom built rod. Quote
