BuckyKat Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Other try than the wooden handle I'm happy with my Pfluger President, with that said, I need another spinner so am going to kick in just a few more $$'s and give the cardinal a try. I have an Ambassador BC and figure if the quality of the Cardinal is similar for the $ I can't go wrong. For those that are familar with them I'd like to hear what you think. Thanks. Quote
fishingkidPA Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 i have a cardinal 300ui. i love that reel. i use it for trout fishing and the occasional bass on the ultralight. good reel. i would definatly buy it Quote
flippin and pitchin Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Good solid, dependable reels. They are a little heavy. The drags are not as smooth as some slightly more expensive reels. I have the 09' models which are 602 and 604 Albi's. I would at least look at the Shimano Symetre IF you can find them 69.99 on sale. I found them as cheap as 59.99. Quote
kennyo Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 i've got the 502 albi and i like it very much. Its a little tough at first to close the bail by reeling, but it loosens up after a while. I often close the bail by hand to avoid wind loops anyway. Its a solid, quality reel that i can tell is going to last like you'd expect an ABU reel to last. Quote
Hyrule Bass Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 i have a cardinal 104 that im very pleased with... Quote
