One of the guys I work with told me he wanted to sell off a bunch topwater baits that he'd never even thrown before, so I took a look at them and found a few that I did like. I ended up buying three different colors of one kind, not really knowing what they were, but that I liked how they looked. I just finally took a minute to look them up, and I guess I got a pretty good deal! I bought three of these Chug Minnow 35's for $5, still in new shape. From what I read, these were $10 a piece off the shelf.

I haven't had a chance to fish these yet myself either, so I'm curious what their action is like and how to work them? Are they more of a popper or walk-the-dog style bait?

I have never fished those before but from the looks of them, they look like a walk-the-dog type of bait.

I thought so as well but then there is this on the underside of the nose, sort of "popper" indent.

If you don't want them I will buy all 3 from you for double the price plus shipping.

I would still think its a walking bait. It is probably something like a chug bug that can pop or walk, but most of the time I have better luck walking chug bugs so I would imagine this one would be the same way. ;)

I have found the best way to use this bait is to use it as a walking bait. The difference between this and other walking or popper baits is that this bait will walk like a walking bait but while walking it will spit some water like a popper. These are killer baits and I can't fathom why Spro stopped making them. I currently only have one left and need to find some on ebay I can buy.

I do plan on keeping and fishing these ones, but I'll talk to the guy I bought them from and see if he still has the ones I didn't buy. I think there was about 4 left or so.
