Siebert Outdoors Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Well guys and gals. I'm going to go scuba diving next week. I hope I can get you all some pictures of bass in their natural habitat. If the water isnt murky I'll post up some pictures for you all to check out. Maybe some even on a bed if I find one. Quote
Super User Sam Posted May 11, 2011 Super User Posted May 11, 2011 If possible take a hammer and a metal rod with you on one of your dives and start pounding the metal rod into the bottom with the hammer. Then take a look to see if any bass are watching you. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted May 11, 2011 Super User Posted May 11, 2011 That's awesome GMAN, I hope you're able to get some pics, I would love to see them. Good luck out there! Quote
jeb2 Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 I hope you have a dry suit for diving in MO this time of year. Brrrr. I got my Advanced Open Water certification this spring down in Destin, FL. Water temp was 65 on the gulf and I got seriously chilled even with a full wetsuit and a shorty on over the top. Insturcter had a dry suit and she was fine, but they are like $2,000 so a little steep for my blood. Anyway, hope you have a great time. I'll look forward to the pictures. Quote
Sfritr Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Plan your dive and dive your plan......... I am curious to ask about the pounding a metal stake into the ground comment????? Quote

It was warmer at 114 ft then it was at 20. Temps ranged from 42-45 deg. Chilly. Thanks Guys. It will be fun! Quote
dulouz Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Sounds like fun. I am certified, but don't get to dive much. Last time I went I got to stare a bluegill in the face. It was so cool to see what the fish see. We even saw a muskie or northern, I don't know for sure. My buddy tried to grab it's tail. Have fun. Quote
