i know this question has been posted in the past but could someone either point me in the direction of how to keep your plastics from drying out?  when purchased they have a little oil of some sort on them.  what can you use so they do not lose the oil coating?

I haven't really had this problem as long as I keep them in their bags. I do with the ones I had put in trays though

I just keep them in their original bags. Like many, I have too many plastics to keep in trays anyways, so I use large ziplock bags and just throw the original bag in them and sort them that way. This way is the easiest I have found, and frees up a lot of space in my tackle box.

to reduce space, i take a few out of the original bag and place in zip-lock bags.  i add a small amount of megastrike in the zip-lock, move them around to coat them, and all is well.   ;)

i've never had a problem of plastics drying out in their original bags though.

ya, just go for the consensus..... original bags...

ive got some charlie's worms that are over 11 years old, and still fish them.... they have held up fine, and stayed nice and juicy..

I use a compartment Plano box for grubs. I can move the dividers to accomodate large or small grubs and save one compartment for a supply of jig heads.  Whenever i want to use just grubs I simply pick up that box

and carry it with me with a full selection of sizes and colors.

Just keep them in the same bags they came in.

They should be fine in the original bags, however, I've heard a drop or two of mineral oil helps.   You should be able to find at any pharmacy for cheap.
