If I were a tournament fisherman I would just keep quiet, but I'm not!

Are you guys asleep? I may need to go back a few pages, but no one seems

to be talking about the lure that produced 84 lbs at Pickwick. If you are

fishing for smallmouth, find a pack or 10!

I need to get some heavier hooks, the ones they provide are too light.

They are a good bait for sure but fishing them with the belly weighted hook seems to be all anyone wants to fish them with. I've had good luck fishing them on a scrounger head also.

I like them, as do others. I don't like them with the jighead type of rig, however, that rig just doesn't work for our water/cover and structure. I prefer weighted swimbait hook, usually moaner now that you and Big O have beat that into my head.

Once the bait gets the right size, these baits are magic here. On the deep clear water drops, a jig head is the only way to go. And to fish it through the drops with wood or weeds, the Owner Sled head jig is Out-Standing ! (thank you Rolo)

I like them on a jig as well. Ball heads or football heads work well, hook up easily, and don't hinder the action of the bait.

Owner Beast 4/0. This is a killer bait. The only thing that sucks is the cost.

I hear that ~ especially when you are routinely feeding them to pike 3 or 4 times a trip ! ! AAAHHHH ! !
