What's everyone's favorite jig and trailor combo?  Also, what retrieve has caught you the most bass?  Hopping it?  Or crawling it on the bottom?  Or a combo of those?

Thanks!

I have different jigs for different situations but my favorite brand is either Booyah or Revenge.

As for a trailer I like to go with Rage Tail Chunk.

Oldham's Lures Trailer Hitch Jig, 3/8 oz Black/Blue, Gene Larew Salty Hawg Craws in 6 with 2½ cut off the tail

Most productive when fishing it like a Texas Rig ;)

Knuckle Down Lures Knuckle Dragger football jig with a Berkley Chigger Craw trailer, although the Rage Craw is coming on strong.

Mostly dragging with a hop every now and then.

I have a black n' blue finesse jig I got off of my buddy, but I'm not sure of the brand.  I love that bait with a bitten off rage tail craw in okeechobee craw color with JJ's Magic chartreuse on the claws.

I like pepper hawg jigs the best, rootbeer pumpkin skirt, 1/2 ounce. I tip it with an Uncle Josh #11 pork frog, and work it slowly along the bottom with hops, dragging, and quite a bit of deadsticking.

Right now its the Strike King KVD swim jig 3/8 oz. in Black/Blue with the rage tail chunk in black/blue flake.

The retrieve depends on the cover and I have crawled it along the bottom. Hopped it in the rocks and vary swimming it thru light cover.

Depends on what the fish are hitting and seems to work best hopped along the rocks for me

For the jig, it's a toss up between the Strike King Football black with a blue flash skirt and the Boo Yah Pigskin River Craw which is black with a blue flash.

The trailer I used is the *** 4.25 Beaver Craw, watermelon/red then dip the "claws" in JJ's methylate.

For retrieve, I bump and drag it across the bottom, and occasionally vary the retrieve with a sharp jerk to make it jump.

That's what produced the fish in my avatar.

For the life of me, I cannot figure out what it is that fish find attractive.  When I watch it in shallow water it looks like some type of lure buried in a mass of grass.  But, work, and work well, they do.

I like a Picasso Football jig and a Rage Tail Chunk.

Custom hand made 1/4-3/8oz jigs with full size Berkley Chigger Craw as a trailer. The jig being green pumpkin w/orange strands and the chigger craw being Sapphire blue. Yeah, i know, weird color but it works for me. All my jig fish have come from flippin' and pitchin'.

I've had great success with a 3/8 ounce football head jig, with a ragetail lobster trailer.

rage tail lobster > all trailers

it seems to have the most action and they have the best color selection.

jig wise just pick one with a nice hook i don't even remember the brand of my football heads but they all have gamakatsu hooks.

color wise just pick whatever you like or try to "match the hatch" i usually go for darker colors.

Oldham's Jig or Thumper Jig (3/8-1/2 oz. and sometimes a 5/8 oz. Oldaham's) in the following colors ( I make most of my jig skirts).

Black/Blue

Black/Blue/Orange

Black/Blue/Purple

Brown - orange glitter/Pumpkin - green glitter/Orange

For trailers on the Black/Blue colors, I have been using the Zoom Super Speed Craw in Sapphire Blue mostly or the Zoom Super Chunk in Flippin' Blue. I also use the 6" Larew Salt Craw in Black/Blue Claw (like CATT, I cut it down to 4-41/2").

On the Brown/Pumpkin color, I use Zoom Super Chunk or the Paca Chunk Sr. in Rootbeer - Green Glitter

Daimon's Destiny Jig, 1/8oz. 60 degree flateye, roadkill camo,

with a Net Bait tiny paca chunk trailer, in alabama craw.

Great finesse Jig! too bad they're not available anymore !

I'm kinda partial.

My favorite color is probably black/blue in stained to muddy water.  Pbj in clearer water.

I've been fishing some of the image colors and those are quickly making positive gains.

Favorite trailer is a Joesjig trailer or a zoom lil critter craw

Favorite retrieve.  Watch how a crawfish moves across the bottom and that is what I try to duplicate.  Its all in the rod none in the reel.

Knuckle Down Lures 1/2oz Knuckle Buster Jig Custom Brown/Black Jig w/ Brown or Black Baby Paca Crawl or Zoom Chunk trailor

I have a few jigs/trailer combos that work very nicely for me, which one is the all time best I couldn't tell you, but typically I'm using one of these variations.

1. Black/blue 3/16 - 5/16 Booyah Baby Boo Jig w/ black/blue ragetail chunk.

2. Green Pumpkin 3/16 - 5/16 Booyah Baby Boo Jig w/ greenpumpkin ragetail chunk.

3. Black/blue 3/16 - 5/16 Booyah Baby Boo Jig w/ black/blue paca chunk (standard or senior size chunk). *this has caught me my pb*

4. Green Pumpkin 3/16 - 5/16 Booyah Baby Boo Jig w/greenpumpkin or watermelon red paca chunk (senior or standard size)

All four should catch you fish, if the fish are extremely picky and you think less action is best, or if the water is pretty cold, go with a Yum Chunk instead.
