BayouBassAssassin Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I have been fishing a lot for the last few months and I still haven't caught one fish on a spinnerbait. I see people talking about how good they are and how easy it is but I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I can catch fish all the time on soft plastics but not spinnerbaits. Which are your favorite spinnerbaits? Ex. Booyah, Strike King....and which colors? Quote
CODbasser Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 i like the terminator spinner baits...in the natural colors...the white/shad color works well...what blade combos are you using? booyah has a good selection of color and blade combos also...white will cover most conditions...if you dont have wind and the water is clear you are probably better off using something else... OIFBasser Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 There are some good articles in here to help you out with using spinnerbaits. I really like using War Eagle, but booyah, terminator and strike king work well too. What type rod and reel are you using? As far as colors, I use white and chartreuse, white and red, chartreuse, fire tiger, and gold with a brown skirt, and black at night. Quote
Quitlimpin Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Keep throwin it, u will catch em. Personally, I've caught a ton of fish on the wal-mart $1.00 spinnerbaits. Quote
Calcutta Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I use white or chartreuse in muddy or stained water. I stick with brown, red orange, green, pumpkins in clear water. As a matter of fact, I keep a large variety of extra skirts in all natural colors for clear water. Quote
dman Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 if your fishing clear water maybe go down a size and use willow leaf blades Quote
BayouBassAssassin Posted May 24, 2009 Author Posted May 24, 2009 The water is stained and I have thrown mainly white and chartruse skirts with willow leaf blades. I have a Daiwa Megaforce reel with a 6'6'' Bass Pro Tourney Special Medium Heavy rod. Quote
