I just found out that I will be tagging along with Porter Tremble, a local outdoors film maker. I'm going to be joining his film crew as they go to each Bassmaster Weekend series event this summer. I will be making $300 per weekend regardless of a one day or two day tournament. We will leave early friday mornings and come back late Saturday nights into Sunday Mornings. We will cover five divisions. Oklahoma, Arkansas, East Texas, SE Texas, and Louisiana. I'm so pumped! I turned down a $1,000 per week job for this. I'll be working my normal shift work at the store during the week and then off to have fun on the weekends so I should be making between 450 and 500, good enough for me, and I'm doing something I love. The way I see it is, I can always go back into construction to make the money for a summer job but this opportunity may only come once and could open doors for something else. Then greatest part is that they contacted me on facebook because they saw my picture of Michael Iaconelli and I with all the Bassresource equipment I was carrying and thought I was some sort of videographer for Bassmaster lol ha! When I told them I was not, they hesitated, but a couple weeks later contacted me again and said they had another opening and said I was perfect for the job. I have been trully blessed.

Awesome! That would be an awesome job! I love being behind the camera, video or photo... Sounds like a good deal!

Don't worry about the money (unless you have too) You have to look at all the outcomes that may come from this. I do a lot of 'work' for the connections I'll make from it and I am broke because of it, but it will pay off someday LOL

Awesome! Truly believe this is how you should live your life. Doing things you want to be doing.

Just remember many of us are stuck at jobs we hate and despise.I just found out I'm back on 58 hours a week and possibly working Sundays soon. What sucks is my fishing season is already short up here. Yeah....I'm going to have to figure something out now.I'm not a happy camper right now.

Outstanding!!!

Congrats.

Doing something in the industry you love is priceless.

Be sure to wear some LSU stuff so your luck will continue.

Meet the pros and make friends.

You will realize that it is not what you know but who you know. Friendships that will last a lifetime.

Keep us posted on what happens each weekend. :)

I have a simmilar situation I work at a tackle shop all week for minimum wage, and on Sundays when the tackle shop is closes at 5 I work at a local restaurant and make darn near 14 dollars an hour. Although the restuarant wants me to work weekdays there, I just can't seem to shy away from the old tackle shop. The people you meet, stories you hear, fish you see, and discounts you may get... are priceless. Have Fun! Enjoy it!
