i went out on my lake today and i wasnt expecting to catch much. there was very strong fast gusts of wind chopping up the water. boy was i wrong. i started slow rolling a 1/4 oz colorado bladed chartreuse spinnerbait and caught a small 2 lb. smallie. later i swithced to a 3/8 ounce strike king spinnerbait. i caught several 2-4 lb smallies in a row. then after the bite died i switched up for a while. i eventually went back to my spinnerbait and caught a 5.5 lb smallie. then to finish it off i caught a medium sized 3.5 lb largemouth. i ended up catching 6 decent fish within one hour. great day for NY fishing
