Super User bilgerat Posted May 3, 2011 Super User Posted May 3, 2011 Back on the 25th of last month I ordered a set of Frogg Toggs rain gear to keep stashed in my kayak. I've seen the site around for years and they have a toll free number. The set I wanted was in stock with free shipping, so I ordered. I get an e-mail confirmation, everything looks ok. So here we are on the 3rd of this month and no package...hmmmm what's going on here. I bring up the site and call the number, it just rings and rings. I notice the address, it's Guntersville, Alabama, one of the worst hit areas from last week's tornadoes. That explains nobody answering. Shipping a rainsuit is the last thing on anybody's mind right now (rightfully so) For all I know the building is leveled. I got in touch with my bank to see if I can get my debit card credited. I explained the situation and I'll have an answer within a week. It's under $50 so it's not the end of the world. Quote
brushhoggin Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 wow yeah i wouldnt be worried about it. i'm sure they will ultimately appreciate you understanding Quote
GrundleLove Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 At least the tornado was spreading rain gear all over the area, that must of helped the people out a bit. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel... Quote
Super User Sam Posted May 4, 2011 Super User Posted May 4, 2011 Tornados are worse than hurricanes or fires. At least you get an early warning about a hurricane and can extinguish a fire and limit your loss. What happened to those nice people in Alabama and across the south and midwest from those storms is a catastrophe. Nothing you can do with a tornado but hope for the best. Hopefully the company can get back on its feet in the near future. Quote
