joshholmes Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 i always seem to have a problem when i leave certain soft plastics in my box for a few weeks. they always come out bent like it has memory. some plastics like flukes come bent right out of the package. i heard someone mention putting them in hot water in another forum, but i don't understand how that would work. i need some way to fix them because some of them are bent to a point i cant fish them anymore Quote
Super User J Francho Posted May 2, 2011 Super User Posted May 2, 2011 Boiling water. Dip it, and reform it. Quote
Super User CWB Posted May 2, 2011 Super User Posted May 2, 2011 Boiling water. Dip it, and reform it. X2. I boil alot of new baits as well to soften them up. A few seconds is all it takes. Quote
Selfmade18 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Yup. Boil them, coat with garlic salt, then throw them in the oven at 300 F for about 15 minutes. Makes them a little soft but will have an overall better taste....you can fish with them too:) Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted May 3, 2011 Super User Posted May 3, 2011 I'd love to see the look on my wife's face when she sees those in the oven! Quote
Bass Dude Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I'd love to see the look on my wife's face when she sees those in the oven! My wife thought I was cooking dinner the other night...but I was curing my powder painted jigheads!!!! Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted May 4, 2011 Super User Posted May 4, 2011 Try fishing with some of the kinked ones. Then you'll be on here asking how get them to stay bent. I'm not really kidding. Fish a kinked Senko, with the kink oriented down, and see what happens. You will be sorting out the kinked ones to save for when you really need a couple of fish. Quote
