Are there trailers for those little Bass Raider pontoon boats? I'd like one that I could hook up to my 4-wheeler.

The Orschlens Farm Supply store in my neighborhood carries little trailers that could be adapted to what you need. New, they cost between $500 and $900 depending, well depending on a whole bunch of stuff, quality of wheel bearings, weight ratings, etc. The last time I went to the KCK Cabelas, they had a variety of small trailers, covered and not. I can't recall prices off the top of my head.

I've run into this one guy, a couple of times, whose thing is fishing remote, difficult to access waters. He has a 20 ' trailer that he pulls with his pickup and he carries a a 4 wheeler a tows a little pond boat . They both ride on the larger trailer. He gets as close as he can with the large trailer and then he can unload and go much farther into remote areas with the 4 wheeler and pond boat on a little trailer.

He can get into strip pits and remote watersheds that I can't even think about accessing. The down side to a rig like that is that once you get stuck, you are stuck good and it is a challenge to get it unstuck. So, anyway, food for thought.

I don't know about Bass Raiders, but some of the Buster brand of pond boats come on little trailers. Look up Buster Boats, Trophy edition and you'll see what I mean.

If I were you I would check-out harbor freight .com.I ordered my trailer from them for 179.00. It was delivered to my door in three boxes by ups and took me about 1 hour to assemble. This is my second year using it and it works great.

179 bucks? Hell, I wish I could find one that cheap. I'd buy it right this instant.

If you buy this trailer from harbor freight. Make sure you lubricate the bearings. They DO NOT have grease on them.

I was also warned by a Harbor Freight salesman that you cannot register these trailers until they are inspected since you build it yourself...He said its a thorough inspection that can cost another few hundred....I just went and got a utility trailer and that way i have more uses for it as well.

In PA the process is not that hard and wont cost that much. The only extra cost would be to have the trailer weighed. The local place did it for free for me. My regular mechanic also filled out the form for free for me.

here is the process.

The trailer I got is item #42708 at harbor frieght. Since it is only 49" long I mounted a piece of plywood covered with outdoor carpet to it. Here in Maryland the registration cost me $51 for two years and the inspection was only $30.
