Super User dodgeguy Posted May 1, 2011 Super User Posted May 1, 2011 titcus with lp on 4-30-2011 fished the big titty with lp today from 1-30 to 9 pm.the day started out really windy with no fish for about 4 hours.it ended with 7 in the boat including my 6-3 and leighs 6-4.anybody who thinks reservoir fishing in a rowboat is cake is out of their mind.there's a lot of fighting the wind and rowing while you're trying to catch fish.the big girls just don't jump in the boat.the guys who catch them consistantly on the nyc reservoirs do so because they have fished them for years and understand seasonal patterns. all of our fish were glued tight to the shore adjacent to steep drop offs.all fish were caught on wacky rigged senkos except for 1 i got on a spinnerbait.the wind was so bad we had to duck into a protected cove which usually doesn't produce much but today it saved us.a lot of fish were suspended a 10 feet in 15 feet of water.water temperature was 60 to 64 degrees.i fully exspect the spawn to start soon. jeremyt Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Awesome fish and I for one wouldn't have been happy fighting a boat in those conditions. Quote
