Super User clayton86 Posted April 30, 2011 Super User Posted April 30, 2011 I made one to the same degree but out of some threaded rod welded a washer to it the a nut and I keep old empty spools and just grab a spool and just put it back on a spool cuz the bottom of the line is usually still good. Then use it for leader material Quote
dulouz Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 I save old paper towel tubes, they fit over the chuck of my drill perfectly. Quote
Super User Sam Posted April 30, 2011 Super User Posted April 30, 2011 Toilet paper rolls on a drill work well, too. Only problem is to make sure the line stays on the roll and does not get into the drill. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted April 30, 2011 Super User Posted April 30, 2011 Pencil in a drill Quote

midnighthrasher Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Berkley line stripper. X2. Put the line through the hole and 5 seconds later the reel is stripped. 1 Quote
BassThumb Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 I use a 12" piece of wooden dowel in a drill. I can strip a bunch of reels with just one piece. I've been using the same piece for over a year. I want to see how big I can get it. I've used pencils before, too, like SirSnookalot mentioned. Quote
