Shane Procell Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Fished SawGrass nort on hwy 27. Boated 100+, biggest was 4 1/2. Not picture worthy but nice to get so alot of hits. 50% on senko, 25% topwater(torpedo), 25% rapala shads. Used the ramp past SawGrass Park on the right. Quote
Punkinseedfyretailz Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 100+ of is great no matter what. good job sounds like it was a blast especially if you nailed over 20 on topwater great work Quote
shallow thinker Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Good report Shane. I've been meaning to get my nephews out and into numbers of fish. I'll may try Sawgrass as we usually go out on the Alley. Quote
GonzoFishing Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Sounds great! Wondering, can you fish Sawgrass from shore? I dont have a boat so I'm limited and have been looking for new spots to fish. Thanks Quote
salmicropterus Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 Pretty much the same deal at Holiday yesterday. They bit everything. I kept trying to throw something they wouldn't bite (usually quite easy for me) and it never happened. My buddy stuck his rod tip in the water and a small bass came up to it and nibbled) No size to speak of although the vast majority were solid keepers of 1-3#s. With all those numbers, we would have still only had 15# so not near good enough for the KOTG Sunday Quote

Super User South FLA Posted May 2, 2011 Super User Posted May 2, 2011 Nothing like a 100+ day, especially with topwater in the mix! WTG! Quote
gar-tracker Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 By the end of May the big ones will start eating. I used to love fishing the canals this time of year. Quote
