OHIO Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 I would say fake. Maybe if it only happened once, but not twice in a matter of seconds. Quote
NateFollmer Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 That's fake. That 'lightning' you see hit him looks very similar to the 'default' lightning you can insert into videos with adobe premiere. ALSO, the whole screen flashes the same white (there would be varying shades with lightning and there's no specular highlights on anything when the lightning comes into frame AND the lightning isn't as grainy as the rest of the video. Good day! 1 Quote

Super User .ghoti. Posted April 29, 2011 Author Super User Posted April 29, 2011 Thanks Nate. I knew something didn't look right, but I am no expert at what can be done with today's editing software. Quote
NateFollmer Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Good call. Something didn't seem quite right to me, but I couldn't put my finger on it. Well done Columbo. LOL I wish I had the Columbo eye I miss that show ghoti I had a whole class on photoshop and "faking" stuff with it. It carried over into video too. There's a good book out called Photoshop Forensics, good read if you like that kinda stuff. Quote
BASS fisherman Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 No..... heres why.... You would see the reflection of the lightning in the vehicles. You dont. If you look closely, the lightning graphic itself is poor. Lighting has been known to blow the shoes off of people. It is a buildup and energy that is violently released from the ground to the air, etc.. Watch closely and he looks like a bad actor. He just falls down both times. If you have ever been shocked you know that electricity moves you. He wouldnt have just fallen over like that. Tatal cukka Quote
BASS fisherman Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 http://www.wimp.com/warmingup/ What about this one? Is it real? Quote
NateFollmer Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 What part of it? Looks fine to me, but I didn't listen to it. Quote

Good day! you forgot to mention that when the first lightning strikes, the shadow from the car is still pointing the same direction as it was before (down the street) instead of the way it should have gone from the lightning (towards the woods to the left) Quote
BASS fisherman Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 What part of it? Looks fine to me, but I didn't listen to it. I like the last 3 seconds the best. It is so silly, is that really what a death metal singer does to warm-up? They warm-up? For real? Quote
NateFollmer Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Good call Dave. We could make a business out of this BASS - Yes, they do warm up. You'd be surprised how hard it is to make that death metal scream. The GOOD metal bands actually have a method and aren't just randomly screaming into the mic. You need to warm up your vocal cords so they don't give out from all that screaming. Quote
