I have had a couple of off brand electric filet knives in the past and have been disappointed. I'll probably be buying from bass pro and they carry a few different models in a couple of brands. Has anybody used the Rapala or Berkely models in the $40-$50 dollar range? If so, which is the better buy? Bass Pro also carries the Mister Twister and Gensu. Thanks for your input.

GE brand "bread knife" - will accept the Pirannah blades. Can be found at Walmart... Has held up cleaning redfish Hope that helps.

Mister Twister is by far the best IMO. Ive had Rapala and Berkley only to be disappointed. The blades dulled quickly and the knife gave out after less than a season of use. Mister Twisters normally last between 2-3 seasons for me. It is nothing for me to clean 200 fish a day with mine. I catch a ton of bar fish on the river and white perch on the lake and clean them no problem with the Mister Twister. I also have some buddies that guide for speckled trout and they clean 100-200 fish a day every day and they all use Mister Twister fillet knife. They just seem to hold up the best over time and are much cheaper than the others mentioned.

X4 for Mister Twister. Been using and still using it for past 3yrs. No complaints. If it were to ever go bad, I'd get another one.
