Not Another Color Question! "black"

I was interested in how many people throw solid black 90% of the time when it comes to soft plastics in both dark and clear waters? If you are one of these people who throw black 90% of the time do you feel once you stopped changing colors often and put your confidence in one color being black your catch rate increased?

i dont throw black to much, but for senkos all i throw is they black maybe with a fleck of color. but i do honlestly think black is a great color for soft plastics

i don't throw much black...but its great for spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. I throw alot of green pumpkin and watermelon.

I not one who places extreme importance on color, but I generally carry two colors of most soft plastics and black is almost always one of them. I've fished black a lot and it's good in all water clarities, but then, I think I could've said the said the same thing about other colors had I used them as much as black.

I throw black at night. During the day I like chartreuse and earthy tones (such as green pumpkin)

I always have 2 colors for new plastics. Black and green pumpkin or watermelon. Keep it simple

I use black when the water is dark or when the sun is going down. I don't put a heavy emphasis to it. Though one color I do put faith into is green pumpkin. It's an earthy color, and matches a lot of water where I'm from. So for soft plastics it's not a bad color to have. But I keep a wide variety of shapes, colors, and sizes. I recently got into jig fishing. And black and blue was killer today. With a black plastic trailer.

People just put a bias into things. Because it's done well for them in the past and they keep using it, they think they have better luck. Not entirely true. Think of your favorite lure or plastic. Why is it your favorite? Because you've caught the most fish on it? Maybe, but usually because you use it more. On average you've probably casted that lure 6 times more than any other that you have. More time in the water, means more time fish spend looking at it and deciding to hit it.

But I mean hey, I just love catching them on plastics. And I love brush hogs because they are just so dang cool and have so many colors. But I know I could easily be catching a lot of bass on another type of plastic if I gave them the same amount of time as brush hogs.

Black is my go-to color when possible, no matter the conditions or the environment.

i use 3 colors most of the time,black,watermelon and green pumpkin. i have equal confidence in the 3 and usually try all 3 no matter the conditions to see what works. I also sometimes use chart. spike it on the tails.I also use dark blue on jig and pigs...

I use black/blue and watermelon most times if that isn't working I switch over to crank baits usually in a more natural color, black/silver or black/gold until I find them then I go back to the plastics.
