Anyone gonna fight the cold muddy waters of St Clair next Saturday? I am going come hell or cold muddy water as they say. This time last year the water temps were about 52 degrees if memory serves me correct. The water was alittle cloudy but no tooo bad last year this year well calling for 3 days rain (choclate Milk)

Unfortunately gonna miss this year as I moved to Cincinnati, OH. However, the last four years we had great days despite the weather. We have averaged about 45 fish ranging between 2-4lbs over the last few years. Drifting the mile roads from 16 down to 9mile

Rattletraps and jerkbaits were the best

Had our boat on the " Nautical Mile", before we moved to an inland lake. Good times on Lake St Clair.

Thanks to all for the response. I used to plan all my trips with solunar tables and watch weather trends. I kept very accurate info on everything from previous trips. Then cancer came and visited me and go figger now I go (good weather ,bad weather) I go either way and and always have a good time. Kinda sad to think I had to wait until 60 and questionable health to really appreciate its not all in the catchin. Now don't get wrong I am still counting on gettin my string stretched. It just won't bother me as much as it used too if it just stretches a little. I am really looking forward to the trip. Good luck to us all Joe G

I'm looking at May 3-4 since they are my first days off after the opener. Joe, you are right about the muddy water. the walleye guys are talking less than a foot of vis some days since this rain started. need some relief and more SW winds to help out along that MI shoreline. Good luck to you. please let us know how it goes.

FAST FORWARD TO 4-27-2013

Well in eleven days I will be back at it again hopefully I will rermember to post my results for anyone heading out after I get back.. I hope the water level is on the way up for evryones sake not just the fisherman.

Please Remember to wear your PFD as last year when I was way out from SANG fishing the opener for c&r my wife called and said Hon got some bad news my good friend  Ken Dunbar had  fell out of the boat prefishing a tournament and drowned. Words cannot describe the feeling of losing a friend from something both of us loved to do    stay safe my friends
