Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted April 25, 2011 Super User Posted April 25, 2011 Well I have always heard them say it on tv ... "Stay out of the trolling motor!!!" even though the bass many times was no where near it. Always thought to myself the chances of that happening are pretty slim and I have never even really come close .... until today. It was like the d**n thing almost knew what he has doing. To make matters worse the wind was howling pretty good and was pretty close to getting blown into the rocks. Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted April 25, 2011 Super User Posted April 25, 2011 That almost made me sick in fast forward..... but you landed the bass and stayed out of the rocks... Jeff Quote
Super User RoLo Posted April 25, 2011 Super User Posted April 25, 2011 Nice Job Dustin I probably would've lost the bass AND blown into the riprap  Roger Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted April 25, 2011 Global Moderator Posted April 25, 2011 I had one get into the trolling motor on me at Table Rock. I was prefishing and it was cold (water in the high 40's low 50's). Hooked a nice 5lber that came straight up and started doing laps around the trolling motor. When I tried to lean forward to get her loose I lost my balance and next thing I know the only part of me that is still touching the boat is my feet and my hands that have a deathgrip on the trolling motor head. Somehow my partner managed to stop laughing long enough to help pull me back into the boat and I landed the fish. Not a fun experience but it's funny to think of now! Quote
Super User bassfisherjk Posted April 25, 2011 Super User Posted April 25, 2011 Good job getting the fish and boat handling. Quote
