So a fellow angler on here mentioned a lure I haven't heard of before, the MegaBass Vision 110. Apparently this isn't the newest of lure but it's price has kept it in a range I haven't looked at before. I tend to look for at least one new item each spring and maybe spend a bit more than usual for it. Any opinions on this lure and or what color scheme is preferred? Thanks for the help!

Super jerkbaits. They're a slow rise bait, lots of roll and a ton of action. Better bait for me than Pointers. Colors I've always done good with are the TN Shad Ito, Hachiro Reaction, Ito Natural, and Smallmouth Bass. Best advice, don't do it, you'll only want more.

I hear great things about them, but the $25 price tag is enough for me to shy away. Too many northern pike in my waters.

I have my first one on the way from *** along with my first Mattlure soft gill swimbait. I'm hoping they will both be as good as I keep hearing! :D

I hear you there. We don't have any of those toothy critters here in NW Ark, but I spent 2 months fishing in Wisc last summer, and lived in MN for 35 years. I lost more lures to those d**n pike last summer than I do in a year of fishing here. I wouldn't tie on a $25 lure up there w/o a steel leader, that's for sure.

The 110's do work well, though. I finally broke down and bought "one" a month or so ago. Now I have 8 or so. I hate that they work, but it's hard to argue with success.

I've been using the Megabass Vision 110 since early March and have been blown away by its productivity in the clear water reservoirs here in Arkansas. I've had the most success with the purple iridescent bellied baits, specifically the ITO Wagasaki. I refused to spend the $30 on one until I saw them in action. I went and bought one and caught 16 bass on it the first time out. Collectively these baits have produced around 60 fish for me this Spring. Unfortunately Walleye love them too, and I have had to scrap 2 of the baits because of damage from Walleye. If theres one complaint about the Megabass baits its there durability. They scratch up easily and the eyes will pop out. I have also had to purchase replacement hooks for them as I have had several break. Just yesterday I had the lip snap off on one the baits while retrieving a 2lb bass. But despite that, they have outperformed all my other jerkbaits combined.

We Arkies love those Megabass! I've caught fish on them when my other brand of jerkbaits weren't working. The FLW boys did well using them on Beaver Lake in the March tourney.

Sounds like I might have to follow suit and give one a shot and keep my fingers crossed. I don't usually lose jerkbaits to pike, now that I think about it.

Good point on the durability. They do get ugly kind of fast, even just catching bass. And I broke a hook off of one the other day, no idea how. I also had the tail end of one bust off.

The local bait shop has a guy that replaces the lip on them for like $5. They say that's a common problem with them, although it has not happened to me (yet).
