Dick's has the Field & Stream Tec Spec rods on sale for $49 and they are normally $60. There is also an online coupon for $10 off which they did honor and I picked up the TSS701MHF which they list as there Tube/Jig rod for $40. I had it out today and the rod feels good and is also very sensitive as well. I did get the extended warranty with it as well after reading some of the reviews on the rod.

I bought one last year when they were 89.99 I loved it but like some of the reviews you read they are fragil mine got a kink in it 2 guides down from the tip and snaped when I touched it. I would still buy another now that there cheaper they make good back ups or guest rods

Really good rod for that price...I bought one last year to try out and was impressed. They are a great rod at their normal price, have never seen them for $89, but at $40 they are hard to beat.

They were $69 last year, $59 this year. I never saw them at $89 either. I bought the 6'8" Medium last year at full price. Has a fair amount of 'rebound' on the cast. Other than that it seems like a nice rod. Haven't used mine much yet. Too many other new and more expensive gear to try out. :)
