BassAssasin2 Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Today i got some zoom 4in finesse worms and strike king shakey head jig heads. The shakey heads have a very long spike and the finesse worm seem to be almost too small for the spike it rips somewhat. Any ideas should i try a bigger worm? or different way to rig? I caught a 15 in bass on anyway and it nearly swallowed the bait. any ideas? ;D Also what weight size do you recommened for that size worm Quote
Chris W Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 You can trim the spike with a file if you want too. I use the zoom worms all the time but use a Spotsticker Baits shaky head never tried the strike kings. Quote
Super User Sam Posted May 19, 2009 Super User Posted May 19, 2009 Go with longer 6-inch + finesse worm, too. 3/16 shaky jig head. Quote
Super User CWB Posted May 19, 2009 Super User Posted May 19, 2009 These are my favorite kind of shakey heads. I prefer them over the screw lock type. 4" might be a tad small tough. Try a 6" or bite of an inch or two and it should be O.k. as it will be thicker. I use 1/8 oz. whever I can get away with it. Quote
Triton20XSD Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I like the Bagley shakey heads in 3/16 oz. They done have the spike like other brands. They have more of a collar that prevents the worm from sliding down. These are the best ones I have used so far. Quote
Crappiebasser Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I use Zoom Finesse worms on Buckeye Lures Spot Remover 3/16 heads with no problems. I agree you should use a longer worm. I like the new Zoom magnum shakey head worms in watermelon seed. Quote
