mark nowak Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Has anybody used this the BPS Bionic Blade rods, They are on sale right now for $59. Is it worth it or should I just spend the extra $30 and get another carbonlite. Quote
SwimJigs Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I have one of the older Bionic Blades, from 2007ish I believe. Not sure if I'll be much help but it's a nice rod for the money in my opinion. I bought a 6'6" M but it fishes more like a MH. Surprisingly sensitive too. Hopefully someone can chime in on the newer split grip models. Quote
brophog Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I've got a few of the past years models, too. I don't care for split grips, so I'm not thrilled with that decision. The new reel seats can go, imo. It's a line of rods that I've been moderately happy with when they're on a big sale (and only then), but I can't see myself buying one of these new versions due to these design decisions. In the past they were good enough rods that I could find some excuse to buy one (at 50 bucks or so), but I'd save my money for something else now. Quote
The Guy Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I will have to let you know in a couple days, I have one in route now. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted April 18, 2011 Super User Posted April 18, 2011 Better rods out there unless you can get it deep discounted. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted April 18, 2011 Super User Posted April 18, 2011 I have a 5'-6" pistol grip that I bought in '03 to fish off of the bank with. I have never had any issues with it. Quote
