bryand82487 Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Got out below Pickwick dam today on the TN river. They had 7 flood gates open and the current was very strong. My buddy and I decided we weren't going the night before because the wind was gusting 20-30 mph today but I woke up around 9 am and gave him a call and said lets give it a try. We got out there around lunch and ended up having a great day. He caught 2 nice largemouth that went around 3lb 10oz and 3lb 12 oz. My biggest smallie went 4lbs 2oz and another went 3lbs 5 oz. We caught probably 15 smallmouth and 6 to 10 laregemouth. Also about 15 white bass. Although the weather was terrible we got on an awesome crankbait bite today! Quote

Super User Dwight Hottle Posted April 17, 2011 Super User Posted April 17, 2011 Sounds like a great outing. Late start doesn't hurt this time of year based on your results. Quote
