Got out below Pickwick dam today on the TN river. They had 7 flood gates open and the current was very strong. My buddy and I decided we weren't going the night before because the wind was gusting 20-30 mph today but I woke up around 9 am and gave him a call and said lets give it a try. We got out there around lunch and ended up having a great day. He caught 2 nice largemouth that went around 3lb 10oz and 3lb 12 oz. My biggest smallie went 4lbs 2oz and another went 3lbs 5 oz. We caught probably 15 smallmouth and 6 to 10 laregemouth. Also about 15 white bass. Although the weather was terrible we got on an awesome crankbait bite today!

Sounds like a great outing. Late start doesn't hurt this time of year based on your results.
