Super User A-Jay Posted April 26, 2011 Super User Posted April 26, 2011 15 minutes to game time - Tonight could mark the END of the season for the HABS. They may be looking for Tee Times tomorrow morning. - Hope there is No Overtime tonight - I just can't take it ! ! A-Jay Quote
zero limit Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 When you Bruins fans are done rooting to beat the habs, I am too! You should be rooting for the Hawks to take game 7, So the last team to lose/blow a 3 game lead in the playoffs will be vancover not Boston. HAWKS IN 7 1 Quote

Yup - I think the players and the fans (at least this one) are more relieved by the overtime win than happy. The bruins get Philly and really owe them Big Time for Last Seasons debacle . . . I'm a Sabres fan so I watched every game of the Flyers last series. As much as love my Sabres, it was easy to see that the Flyers were the superior team at every position but goaltender. The Sabres were lucky to make the playoffs and that series had no business going 7 games as the Flyers should have been able to win easily in 5, yet the Sabres had the Flyers on the ropes late in game 6. If the Flyers let Buffalo hang around and almost beat them, I don't think they have much of a chance against Boston, which unlike Buffalo actually appears to be a playoff-caliber hockey club. Quote

I hoipe you're right - Philly's seems to have more offensive ability than the B's, especially right now - ie, ZERO power play goals for the Boston team in the last series. If the first line for the Bruins can crank it up again to mis season for, they may be able to expose the Flyer's weaker goal tending. And as usually Tim Thomas will have to continue to be very Stout for Boston. A-Jay Quote

A-Jay The Flyers do have a lot of offensive weapons, but I think Boston's D should match up well against them, and I'm not convinced you'll need much offense to expose Philly's goaltending. They started three different goaltenders against Buffalo, and it had nothing to do with injuries, just poor play by all three of them at times. I will say Philly seems to play much better after one of their goaltenders gets yanked, but that's not a long term winning strategy in the playoffs. 1 Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted April 28, 2011 Super User Posted April 28, 2011 I used to be a Bruins fan, but gave up on the stick and ball sports years ago. However, after reading the titel of this thread, "Go Habs Go" and hearing the score of the seventh game, you got your request. The Habs have gone. Quote
