Super User .ghoti. Posted April 14, 2011 Super User Posted April 14, 2011 11/0 Owner worm hook. Weightless. Greased up with Megastrike. Swim it through the weeds. Don't set the hook too quick. Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted April 14, 2011 Super User Posted April 14, 2011 Send them to me, I'll dispose of them properly. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted April 16, 2011 Global Moderator Posted April 16, 2011 Send them to me, I'll dispose of them properly. That's what I was thinking, you don't want those things! The andaconda is a great worm but it doesn't drop through cover very well sometimes with that big tail. I love it on steep rock banks though. Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted April 16, 2011 Super User Posted April 16, 2011 Grease that puppy up and it comes through grass and milfoil really well. Someone on here gave me that tip, and I didn't believe them until I tried it. Might have been RoadWarrior. Makes a huge difference and I felt like a buffoon for not believing the guys that said it. I thought it was the old "sky hook or liquid board stretcher" kind of thing. Quote

Haha, in a custom lumber mill I used to work in, it was tradition to send the new guy over to the moulder department to ask for a "Moulder Punch". One sore shoulder later, and I was initiated! Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted April 16, 2011 Global Moderator Posted April 16, 2011 Unfortunately we don't have many lakes with grass in them around here, most of the cover we have is wood, but I guess if you put some slippery attractant on the tail it might not catch on the wood as well. Might have to try that to keep the d**n green sunfish from biting the tails of them off. Quote
BassThumb Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 I love that you can actually find good stuff in those Gander Mountain bargain bins. I like keel weighted screw lock hooks for swimming 7" Anacondas. The 10" Anacondas I use Texas rigged for night fishing. Quote
