Avalonjohn44 Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Go to Walmart and buy a couple of Terminator spinnerbaits in Green/White (get one with the willowleaf shaped blades and one with the rounded blades) and a couple of bags of Kinami Flash (same product as the Senko, just marketed in a different package). Toss that spinnerbait out and retrieve it. You will catch fish. And if you miss any fish that hit the spinnerbait, throw a Kinami Flash senko at that exact spot. You will catch more fish. If they are not biting the spinnerbaits at all, just fan cast that Kinami Flash. Texas Rig it or Wacky Rig it, cast it, let it sink all the way to the bottom and then twitch it sloooowly back to you. You will impress your friends and will cause your girlfriend to swoon at your newfound fish catching powers. Quote
zach t Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Can't go wrong with a good topwater. Get a small lucky craft sammy or a zell-pop Quote
B A S S E R Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 weightless t-rig. 7" ribbontail worms, baby brush hogs, rage craws, pretty much anything. If its a little more windy try a 1/8 or 1/4 oz tungsten bullet weight Quote
bassin is addicting Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Get a small lucky craft sammy or a zell-pop or something less expensive will work fine for just starting out.. like a Rebel Pop-R, Jitterbug or a small buzzbait. i too think a wacky rigged senko type worm will do wonders, or a curly tail tail worm like a Zoom u-tail or Berkley 7" powerworm. and a spinnerbait as mentioned. good luck.. let us know how you do when you get back out.. zach t Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Truth be told, the other guys are right. Wacky rigged Senko cannot be beat. Why is it that I never use it? LOL! Quote
crankbait2009 Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 can't go wrong with a crankbait. I recommend the Bass Pro Shops "The Egg". it's $3.99 and easy on the wallet if you're a tight budget kinda guy..........they are also very shallow divers......0-1ft max. (chrome black always works for me) http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-XPS-Lazer-Eye-Nitro&153;-Extreme-The-Egg/product/51816/-1005059 Quote
brushhoggin Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 buy you a small buzzbait. you'll have a blast http://reviews.basspro.com/2010/58847/strike-king-strike-king-mini-pro-buzz-buzzbait-reviews/reviews.htm Quote
