Im looking on picking up a new baitcaster. What out of these two reels do you guys like the best. Also do you guys suggest any other reels in the 100 dollar range?

Thanks for the help

Never even held the Wright and Mcgill, but I would still recommend the Citica!

IMO there is NO competition here! I mess with the W&M at work and they just overall feel cheap. even casted one and something about it just isn't exactly "WRIGHT" hahah. I cast my Citica all day long into the wind with a little 1/4 crankbait without issues. Besides Shimano's Customer relations is superb. Go with the Citica you will not be disappointed. :)

I own Calais, chronarch, curado. My son owns a citica. For the money it is hard to beat a citica.

It's pretty hard to beat the Citica at that price point. The BPS Pro Qualifier is another great reel for a few bucks less. You can often find them on sale for about 80 bucks. At that price, they're a steal.

I am going to say Shimano, for sure! I have 2 Curados, but look at it from this stand point AJ (Hookingem) is leading to a good point. Shimano has been around FOREVER! You are not going to last this long if you do not make good equipment.

This is like asking about a fully loaded Kia (W&M) vs. a base model Honda Accord (citica). One's got cool stuff, the other works and lasts.

Citica

I've never had a problem with mine and simply just recommend them

I would definately go with the Citica over the W&M, but dont over look the Pflueger Trion.
