was talking to one of my friends last night and found out he has been wearing the same jeans since September and plans to go a whole year

My stupid hipster friend who goes to RISD has been wearing the same jeans forever. He claims they go through stages of smell. They get really bad, then he claims the bacteria from the smell eats it or something and then they are clean again, so he never has to wash them.

Hipsters...

oh also, I had this friend who wore the SAME camo shorts everyday in highschool..idk he had some complex or something. And we took bets on who thought he washed them. So one day I took a WASHABLE crayola black marker, and marked a line on the side of them. it was there for 3 weeks. and the day that it was gone it was raining and he walked to school so the rumor is that it was the rain water and not the washing machine

I wear my work jeans a day or two, depending on how dirty I get. If I am just hanging around the house or go out to eat or something, I will wear them a few times. After fishing, it usually depends on how much Megastrike and/or fish slime I wipe on them. :D

I'm with you, Crankbait. I HAVE to wash them after wearing them just once, even if its out to dinner for 2 hours.

Jeans are no different than any other piece of clothing. You sit in chairs that other people sat in, leaving germs and bacteria to get onto your clothes.

I'll wear jeans numerous times before they get washed, about 3 times a pair, but I alternate jeans. I don't wear them every day, I switch it up. Different pair of jeans/shorts every day for the week, then a few weeks later I was them all, unless they get stained or smell ridiculous. I smell each pair before I put them on.

:blink::o

If you're going to wear the same pair of pants numerous times, what's wrong with checking if your jeans smell?:huh:

jeans can make 4 or 5 rounds especially in the colder months.

if they dont look/smell dirty or feel damp when worn, go for it!

Exactly my thoughts!

It really depends. I voted 4 days, since that's probably average. To me, jeans aren't even "right" until at least 12 hours of wearing, and after that, it's a matter of what you were doing in them.
