set_the_hook Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 What colors do you find yourseelf using the most of? Quote
Gangley Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 I've been knocking them out lately with a Chrome/Blue back Rattletrap and a Green Threadfin Red Eye Shad. 75%+ C/BB Rattletrap though Quote
bassking1976 Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 well because of the bait monkey i have every sexy color of the red eye shads none have done better than the other really depends on what their feeding on i ve seen lotta guys have luck with the orange crawfish color around this time of the year i believe in summer the bluegill color will shine Quote
Cliff Logue Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I use alot of red lipless baits in the spring on lake guntersville in the milfoil. I use ghost, rayburn red, black/gold, sexy shad in the xcalibur xr50 bait line. Quote
VABassin'14 Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Anything that imitates a crayfish seems to work well for me. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted April 14, 2011 Super User Posted April 14, 2011 Primarily shad, gold, ghost colors, and chartreuse. Add in whatever accent colors you'd like. They all work. Quote
Super User Catt Posted April 14, 2011 Super User Posted April 14, 2011 Gold Shad, Red Chrome, & Toledo Gold Quote
tholmes Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Chrome/blue, chrome/black, shad, and craw colors work best in the waters that I fish. Tom Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted April 14, 2011 Super User Posted April 14, 2011 Red and blue work well for me. Quote
flippin and pitchin Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Crawfish patterns and some Delta red until may then chrome/blue and shad patterns. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted April 16, 2011 Global Moderator Posted April 16, 2011 I use Excalibur XR50s a majority of the time in ghost, foxy momma, rayburn red, and gold black. The Red Eye shad in Sexy shad does get the nod every once in awhile too though. Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted April 16, 2011 Super User Posted April 16, 2011 For the most part, I like something shiny, chrome colored. A Berkley Frenzy Rattle bait in a chrome gizzard shad color is what I use most of the time. Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted April 16, 2011 Super User Posted April 16, 2011 The color is "Top Secret". It's a custom paint that is very similar to gold TN Shad on gold prism. It's a neat color. Quote
Super User deep Posted April 16, 2011 Super User Posted April 16, 2011 Anything and everything works for me, so long it's not flashy or translucent. I fish stained waters a lot, and have little to no confidence in those. If you want just one color, it's gotta be "sexy shad" though. Quote
BassThumb Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Chrome/blue with a little orange nail polish around the front hook is my favorite. Otherwise, I mainly use blue/chart, black/gold, and some kind of neutral minnow color. Last season, I was having my best luck with a black/chrome XR50 that I speckled like a crappie with black and green Sharpies. I would run this bait through or just under suspended crappie schools and aggressive catch bass. Quote
