InLikeFinz Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Hi Everyone! As promised I'm back with another video! After fishing all morning without a nibble I almost gave up and went home. I'm now glad I didn't! I commited to paddling up the lake and into a creek to find some shallow water. After what seemed like an eternity, I located a nice area with some lilly pads in 1-3 ft of water. As I was working my lizard across the surface, hopping from pad to pad I saw the water "buckle" and a giant ripple work it's way out from my bait. I knew at that point someone was home and she was not happy......check it out, the HD version if possible! Jason Quote
hookingem Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 In the pads with spinning gear and mono? I would have been so scared trying to land that pretty fish! Congrats. Quote
Shane Procell Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 That was indeed a fantastic hit and a good fish! Quote

Yeah I won't deny I'm slightly tweaked. Just look at the facts, hehe. 1. Fishing pads in a 50lb plastic boat with goofy reflectors and homemade tail light..........check. 2. Flip HD and HatCam are not waterproof, scattered showers throughout the morning...........check. 3. Using spinning gear and 8lb flourocarbon in pads on top.............check. Turns out if you work your lure pretty quick and hop your bait from pad to pad Flouro "kind of" floats! That's what I love about fishing man, I do everything wrong but it's Oh so right, haha!! InLikeFinz Posted April 12, 2011 Author Posted April 12, 2011 Killer! That swell before the strike is totally heart stopping! What's funny is I wasn't sure if that was the same fish that made that swell or a bigger one so I stayed for about 20 min. and totally soaked that area with that lizard. Didn't get another bite though, haha! Jason Quote
