I really like the looks and price of these. I may have to pick a few up next time I make a jig run. Gonna be throwing the jig a lot this year!

Anyone using them?

They looked nice, no doubt! I like my free SK's as well.

PS- now that you put me on a dropshot fish, I'm gonna get you to flip till you get a 5+.

I learned to fish jigs on the All Terrain Grassmaster jigs. They're fairly good baits. The head style makes it's way through the weeds easily, but the head doesn't protect the rattle from slimey, filamentous weeds and they tend to collect on there. I'll often pull the rattles off of Grassmasters or spin the collar so that the rattle is protected by the brushguard. The heads do tend to chip pretty easily and I have snapped a few collars. It's nice that they're widely availbale from local retailers so I still buy a few here and there, but the Northstar Jigs are quite a bit better than All Terrain, mainly because of the more durable powdercoat, wire collars, weedless rattles, and equal or better hooks(Owner).

Might have to stick with my Brauer Premier and Hack Attacks. I like the 1/2 oz. Brauer jigs because the head is a nice shape, and they hold up well. They're also pretty cheap.

I just made myself realize I have no reason to change.

I was debating the change myself this year. I've been fishing the SK Premier Plus or the Hack, too. What did it for me is the 1/2 oz Northstar is more compact but has a much better (read slower) fall rate than the SK. The only thing I can come up with is that the skirt is that much more full. The price on them is well under what I would have payed for a jig that was as durable as they are locally. The other reason I did it is that the Northstar hook is always, and I mean always, up. It will not roll over on you like the SK did for me. Many times in shallow water the SK jig would roll on the side. That was the last straw for me, thus I decided to make the switch for this year. Made an order of the Northstar jigs and there'll be no looking back.

I bought some of these, and still do buy one or two time from time to time. My biggest problem is I had a issue with bass throwing them. The barb on them is very small and they just keep getting thrown.

I know this is an old topic. Bought a few of these in a pinch yesterday since they were 2.99. Seemed to get thru the cover pretty well. Hopefully they hold up. I will finally make a purchase from both Northstar and Seibert in the next week or 2.

Im loving the Rock Jig (football head) they make. I bought one, lost it on a cast somehow and made sure to buy 3 more. Most confidence and success Ive had with a jig yet. I have some North Star baits coming so hopefully they are as good or better.

I have fished them and they are not a bad jig! But for my money I will take the NorthStar jigs over any jig out there!!!!!!!
