This is only for the toilet paper rolls that sit horizontally on the hanger.

Which way do you put the TP on the hanger? So it's falling down off the front or coming down off the back? My daughters can't stand it when I flip it around on them. I get some great laughs from doing it once in a while.

As long as it's there it doesn't matter to me. My daughters are always getting 'stranded' because they think it refills itself.

To me it don't matter one bit. I guess I never paid attention to the way it went. But Since I am a single guy. It usually sits on the stack of magazines on the counter next to the toilet.

Ha this exact thread was on a car forum I'm on.

I like it off the front, but it doesn't matter much to me.

This thread led to another thread on which way you prefer to wipe on my other forum.

Why would you want it coming off the back of the roll? It then lies against the wall, nowhere near as efficient as when it hangs a few inches from the wall.

Any time study program would tell you that it is not as accessible against the wall.

When I lived with my parents 13 years ago, my mom always put the roll with the paper in back (which I hate), so I decided to get her back. I unrolled about 5 feet of tp on the counter and put 6" strips of double sided tape down, rolled it back up, put it back her way and took all the extra tp out of the bathroom. After she spent a good 20 minutes trying to get some paper, she was pretty ticked. After that she religiously put the paper coming off the top. *WINNING* :D

I'm ALWAYS turning the roll around so it comes down the front. My wife puts it on against the wall.

Never thought of it as a time study but I guess there would be those occasions when you'd want to get out of there as soon as possible.

for the 5 people who voted for the tp hanging off the back of the roll, pm me for logic

As further confirmation that the paper needs to come over the top, when you get those novelty

rolls, like the ones printed to look like money, note that the printed side is only visible

when it comes over the top and hangs down.

If you pinch the turtle head off just right you don't need TP

Just had the TP conversation with co-workers this morning! My wife and I used to debate whether or not you fold the paper or roll it around your hand. She looks like she's reeling in a deepsea fish when she uses it. After realizing that they are using the paper for an entirely different purpose, I quit giving her fits about it. :D
