`The wife and I visited one of our favorite restaurants this evening for our eight year wedding anniversary dinner.

The chef started us out with some calamari and barbecue shrimp, which I initially thought were lobster because I have never seen shrimp this big. The shrimp were literally a foot long.

Next was our HUGE dinner salads.

Then, the main course. I had the 22 ounce, bone in ribeye. The steak was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth like cotton candy. The chef also sent out two African lobster tails to accompany our steaks.

Afterward, it was time for desert. I had the mounds cake and the wife had chocolate mouse.

Callaros Prime Steak. It's at the corner of Ocean and Lantana. Directly across the street from the Ritz Carlton.

Can you imagine using one of those shrimp for Snook?

Prawns man, prawns.

Looks freakin delicious. I'm sitting here starving right now, and I checked this thread and now regret it. I'll have to check that place out. That steak looks killer.

The steaks are absolutely worth every shiny penny. My steak was 32 bucks, I think. The chef/owner doesn't sell the shrimp he gave me. He gives those to his friends and special guests. He said there's a restaurant on the west side of Lantana bridge that sells them for like 15-20 bucks a piece.

First off, Happy Anniversary!

Those prawns look fantastic. Also, you gotta love a steak that comes with a built in handle. :) Bone in NY are my favorite.

I'll have to try that place out on my next trip to FL. :)

I've eaten at about every restaurant in Palm Beach that serves steak and this restaurant has to be the best.

All you have to do is look me up when your down here.

I didn't, but the wife did.

She had bread, one & 1/2 of the shrimp, calamari, caesar salad, 8 ounce N.Y strip (but I think the chef sent out a 12ounce) baked potato, half a lobster tail, piece of cake and two glasses of wine and I ain't got a f****** clue where she put it all   .

I hate to over eat, but the food was so darn good we couldn't help it.
