bt fisherman Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 I need to get a new flippin rod needs to be pretty stiff so i don't break it any suggestions Quote
Super User David P Posted April 9, 2011 Super User Posted April 9, 2011 Depends on your price range and how heavy of cover you plan to flip. Dobyns Champion 765, 766, or 805 Or my all time favorite, Dobyns 795DX Extreme Rod ! Quote
Fat-G Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 David, the 735 is a really good light flipping rod too! It's just a really good all-around rod. Quote
BassThumb Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 What's your price range? Have you broken a flipping stick before while fishing? Quote
JDF Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 dobyns 765 is an amazing rod. Its got a softer tip but is strong enough to yank em out of the weeds or whatever cover your fishing. I am pleased with this rod as i was hesitant to spend that kind of money on it, but now I get excited to use it everytime I fish Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted April 10, 2011 Super User Posted April 10, 2011 Shimano Crucial 7'6 MH CRC-X76MH x2 Still my primary flipping rod. Absolutely love that thing. Quote
