Got this toad yesterday in the cold and rain throwing, of all things, a BPS "Crappie Maxx" crankbait in a watermelon splatter pattern. She was 17" long. I don't carry a scale but she was well over 5 lb. This is where a smooooth drag pays off.

Very Nice. Back to your roots with the ultralight.

It's all relative. When you can't get the bigguns to bite on the heavier equipment then drop down to the ultralite and go for the 2 and 3 pounders with #4 and 6 mono.

Nice fish! Norman makes a tiny little crankbait like that and it's a great bait for bass and tends to get pretty good sized fish to bite when it's tough for me. Good work!

Yea' buddy :) Nice fish ! Gotta' love that micro-light gear :)

Especially well suited to the small treble hooks of a crank bait..... as you have seen :)
