fishincop640 Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 I've been watching the Capitol Hill saga over the last few days. Is it true that if a budget isn't passed within the next few hours all of the state park lakes and anything governed by Army Engineers will be shut down? Anyone hear anything? Quote

Well if their shut down there won't be anyone there to stop you? LOL Just kidding! No I haven't heard anything, I thought it was only the Corp lakes (like Raystown) and the NATIONAL parks, not the state. I could be wrong though... Wonder if you could still use the marina at Raystown? Quote
BadKarma42 Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 I don't think it should have any effect on state run-owned stuff. It should only effect stuff run by the feds. Quote

I just was looking through the Altoona Mirror and it said about the launches at Raystown being closed. I remember a couple years ago the state parks shutting down because there was no state budget. They said the operations at the resort would still be up and running. This stuff is so confusing!! It also said that IRS workers working on tax refunds will be furloughed. Does that mean since I haven't filed my taxes mean I can wait for awhile? I bet they have IRS workers collecting the money...just not dishing it out! Quote
fishincop640 Posted April 9, 2011 Author Posted April 9, 2011 Anyone else having trouble viewing the posts? There seems to be a lot of blank space between posts and Nate, your posts seem to be all messed up!! Quote
NateFollmer Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Looks fine to me? I tried the site in FF, IE and Chrome and it looks fine in all of them. Quote
