Has anyone found a store with the KVD square bills that has the chart./blk color? Why is S.K. so far behind on that getting that bait stocked? I like that color combo (not cause of KVD's win).

Our wal marts here have them in stock. And Dicks Sporting Goods as well.

I just used mine for the first time yesterday and I wasn't too impressed... Doesn't compare to the RC1.5 very well, I couldn't feel a lot of vibration and don't think it deflected particularly well. As for it supposedly 'hunting'? That bait don't hunt.

I got a few of the 1.5 and two of the 2.5 in early February and have been playing with them here and there since then. Of the 4 I have only one really tracks. What I've found is that the faster the retrieve, the better they run and the more search you get. The 2.5 is all over the place, it feels like it's going to blow out, then it rolls back in. Hard to explain, but I like the way it runs.

Cool, I have 3 1.5s and 2 2.5s, and only used one so far. Hopefully they will do better. To be fair, I only used it for about 15 minutes before switching to something else.

SK had them out right after the KVD classic win and they have sold out at most places. I have seen them on ebay for as high as $25 for a single lure. I didn't purchase that particular color but got the gizzard shad at BPS during the classic. Haven't had it in the water yet but thanks for the updated on the way they run.

Cuz there´s a million guys not like you ( not cause KVD´s win ) who think that by having that bait in that color will solve all their problems of not catching fish and now SK can´t put them out fast enough from the line.

They were actually out in January. I had seen them running a 1.5 in the tank in the store and liked the way the bait moved at that point.

What was really funny was the Monday after the Classic, the BPS over here was completely sold out of them. ALL of them. One guy got so mad he couldn't get the 1.5 and they had to call the cops, it was...well...classic.

I purchased some of the 1.5s and 2.5s in the gizzard shad and sexy shad colors well before the Bassmaster Classic. I just wanted to try them out because I wanted to add to my collection of silent crankbaits. It's just now getting warm enough and the bass shallow enough for me to give them a try.

KVD's Classic win was a great marketing tool for these baits. As much as I can recall, I have never bought a bait because it was used by a big-name angler or because it was used in winning a big-name tournament.

I understand the selling like hotcakes thing, I just haven't come across the stores(or sites) ever getting restocked. I have a RC 1.5 in that color, but I'm down to one. I try not to buy them except when I can catch them on sale. Last time at BPS I couldn't find that color in any of the square bills. Had lots of gold sexy shad red-eyes though.

Bass Pro has them on sale for $4.47 right now, and all the KVD 1.5 colors are in stock, including Black Back Chartreuse.

If anybody plans to buy some of them, do this site a favor and enter the store using the link below so Bass Resource will get a piece.

I like Wanderlust's suggestion. Those bandit100's are just as effective. That rookie Brandon Paulinic (however its spelled) was catching em with those right next to kvd during the classic

No where in Nashville area that I've seen. But BPS has the the excalibur xc200/300 in that color. They are little more expensive but they run true straight out of the box. I wore 'em out on percy priest this week with that bait.

I got a bunch from BPS online and got lucky and got some rattling ones also. Phone operator said they just got them in stock. Timing is everything.

I got a couple from my BPS yesterday, the chart/black back silent ones. They were the last ones there. I hated "buying the Kool-Aid," but I got a couple reports that is what they are hitting where my tournie is this weekend. I have the bluegill color one and like it a lot, but fish on it yet.
