Pitchinkid Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I know there as been a little talk about this crank, but i just wanted to again say how impressed i am with this crank. I havent had one yet not run true out of the box. It is an absolute fish catching machine. Fast Becoming my number 1 medium crank. Very durable crank. Ive beat it off rocks, bridges ,tress, docks, dogs, boats and anything else you can imagine. If anybody like throwing cranks and hasnt tried one, go getcha one and im willing to bet you will be pleased with what you see. Very tight wiggle with a subtle thumping sound. Ive caught everything from Smallmouth, largemouth, spots, hybrids, whitebass, walleye, sauger and I witnessed a muskie on one too. Quote
gabes Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I agree 100%. A great little crankbait that is a real fish catcher. The hooks are great, micarta bill and great action. Love the Cell Mate color in clearer water and chartruese rootbeer in stained. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted May 11, 2009 Super User Posted May 11, 2009 I agree AJ. Very good crankbaits. Just wish they had a few more color schemes. Quote
Super User Tin Posted May 11, 2009 Super User Posted May 11, 2009 I agree AJ. Very good crankbaits. Just wish they had a few more color schemes. x2 They need to make them in natural shad and perch colors like the Aruku's. Quote

bunkerbstr Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I had a chance to check out some of John's prototypes he was carrying around a few months ago. There are several new colors coming out in the near future. In addition to new colors, there will be a deep diving model that will be out later this year - likely debut at the ICast show? The protos I saw were: Bream and a few variations of old favorites. Good looking baits, quality components and paint. Quote
Super User fishinfiend Posted May 11, 2009 Super User Posted May 11, 2009 I like this lure a lot too. I am a big fan of ol' glory. I may have to get one of the chartreuse rootbeer. Quote
Al Wolbach Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 And Spro knows they have a hit crankbait. They went up between $3-$4 this year over last year. But demand is still higher than supply, at least in my area(E. Tn)................Al Quote

TrippyJai Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 I love this crankbait. It's my favourite out of all. I bought it because of the funny looking eyes. I thought it was cute, but it ended up being better than I expected. If you enjoy throwing crankbaits, this bait is a must in the tackle box. Quote

They went up in the '09 Jann's catalog though.... Quote

I think they'll have to make the body bigger to handle the deep diving lip. Hopefully they can make it correctly and maintain the same action of the smaller versions. Quote
bunkerbstr Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Correct, the MD is the Medium Diver, there will be a deep diver coming out in the near future. I haven't seen the DD in person, but we can assume it'll be a bigger size than the current models. That new Bream color is sick. Quote
