JShrock07 Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Ok, I need some assistance. I have a tournament out of Sturgeon Creek on Saturday. I havnt been down there since Early March where we won but I hate that lake. I need some GOOD help to help me locate bass down there for this tournament. If you have been there already this Month and you found something that worked and you are willing to share it PM me or post here which ever you prefer. I will be respectful and anyone who knows me knows Im honest. If you give me a good spot or a good bait I will not tell everyone. I barely fish there. Plus I hate that place haha but I need to stay on top of my club standings for the year. So ANY GOOD help will be appreciated... thanks in advance and I will update on how we did. Joe Quote

whoopbazz Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 I'm suprized how many people hate this lake. We live in PA and we do as good or better than VA guys, and we only go twice a year (for 20 years LOL). I took a new job and couldn't go this time...the guys are there now. I spoke to my dad he said Dukes and Sturgeon were doing good. All I can tell you is from this time of year experience. Take careful note of where you catch your fish. Depth, location in the creek (how far up the creek). We find that if you catch a few in one creek, lets say at the mouth or secondary point or back end, other creeks will pattern simialry. Hearing the water temps...I wouldn't go to far up. Maybe main lake points still or secondary points. Target the docks around these areas. Skip senkos or gitzits WAY UP UNDER the docks and fish the peirs. I have lots of good spots, and I can take you righ to them, but the names escape me right now. Quote
Bigs Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 fished the public side last week and the water was muddy, we only caught a few small ones. Good luck, gonna be tough until the water clears up. Quote
