I am in Tokyo and have experienced 6 Earthquakes in the last week. Most were small -- so called "aftershocks." It is almost as if I took a beating and as I am hitting the mat I get hit again and that was just the aftershock. --- Still hit though.

The one at about 10CDT (midnight here) started again but was small, then it started getting more violent. Stuff was falling off the desk, the bathroom door was swinging then the buiding started swaying. I am on the 8th floor of a 10 story hotel. My best estimate is that the hotel swayed about 10 feet. It was bad enough that I put my arms out to brace while in the bed. If you want to know how long a minute can be -- just ride out a major earthquake -- it seems like forever!!!

The Tsunami warning was cancelled after a couple of hours.

I really feel sorry for the Japanese people, I will be home on Lake Fork soon and they have to stay here for the "beatings." Earthquakes, Tsunamis, and radiation -- I am like Dorothy on The Wizard Of Oz -- I just want to go home.

Glad you made it through safely. I've never been in an earthquake, and God willing I never will be. No Joke about Japan not being able to catch a break. 7.4 is one hell of an aftershock. I'm sure glad I'm not living over there. Thats gotta be like a living hell for those poor people.

Wait a minute. You're in Japan, in bed at a hotel and the bed started trembling? Are you sure it was an earthquake?

I was to fly into NRT 3/10 for business. It ended up that my OMA-DEN was over three hours delayed and I wouldn't have made my connection in SFO so I rebooked for 3/11. It goes from there. I pray for their recovery, that's about all I can do.
