Mono Man in IL Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Speaking of "classics" I'll be using the Classic 4" Charlie Brewer Slider Worm just like I have for the past 35 years. Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted April 14, 2011 Super User Posted April 14, 2011 Anyone throwing any berkley havoc baits? Just got the skeet reese pit boss. excited to try it out Yes, but definitely not finesse baits. I've become disillusioned with the KVD Finesse worm, and am now back to old reliable Baby Ring Fry and GYCB Shade shape worm. Quote
BlackBass19 Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 #1 Zoom Trick Worm rigged texposed on 2/0 or 3/0 Gamakatsu EWG, 1/16 or 1/8 oz bullet weight with a T-Stop. You can fish this rig anywhere and anytime. During the summer slowdown I'll use this to get to the finicky deeper bass. During the spring rig it weightless and fish it as a slowed down jerkbait. I bought my first baitcaster about a month ago so I've been fishing swim jigs and lipless cranks exclusively instead of my worms. #2 KVD Swim Jig (3/8 oz or 1/4 oz) in both Bluegill or Black/Blue with a Strike King Perfect Plastic KVD Chunk trailer. pat_walker_fishing Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 So far this year for me its been 1/16 oz. Flickin shimmy head with a bama bug zoom trick worm or finesse worm Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted April 19, 2011 Super User Posted April 19, 2011 I've been throwing Zoom tiny brush hogs and the BPS 3" stik-o. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted April 19, 2011 Super User Posted April 19, 2011 Its not so much the bait....but the rig. Started wacky rigging baits that aren't usually wacky rigged, and adding weight last fall....neko. But the drop shot rig has been my go to rig for delivering plastics to deep bass. Quote
