possumsniper2 Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Going to try out a new lake next weekend. The lake is an old limestone quarry, with the clearest green tinted water you have ever seen. Wondering what lures or baits might work best for bass on this lake. Quote

Motor Oil color plastics work well in clear water. But I have been surprised a time or two and caught some fish on neon colors in clear water. But those were mostly smallmouth. Quote
Tallent88 Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 id be Leary rock quarry's don't usually hold a lot of bass at least my experiences have proven this there kind of hard to fish there is hardly any cover and usually very deep good luck hope you find other wise white works well in clear water for me . dhami013 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Clear water = natural colored baits. But you'd be surprised what will work. Try experimenting a little. Quote
