Super User Bassn Blvd Posted April 4, 2011 Super User Posted April 4, 2011 I'm having an Upper Endoscopy done at 6:30am and I hate being knocked out. I'm trying to talk the doctor in to letting me stay awake during the procedure, 10-20 minutes. There's just something about having a complete stranger administer me drugs to knock me out when it's not a dire emergency. Has anyone ever had this done without sedatives? This will be my 2nd time but I was knocked out for the first. Quote

CSimon2 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 My mom has had it done a couple of times. It was no big deal for her. Good Luck! Quote
Super User Sam Posted April 4, 2011 Super User Posted April 4, 2011 Hope all is fine and there are no problems. Is the doctor video taping the procedure so you can watch it at home? Quote

Cool idea. I didn't know they could/would offer that service. I'm so wasted right now from the anesthesia, hahaha. I have no idea why some people like getting high. Yea, I feel happy but I'm bouncing off the walls when I try walking. I hate not being in control of myself. The doctor said everything looks fine but have a minor issue of acid reflux. Quote
