I'm looking around for a good rod to fish shakey heads with this spring. Any suggestions? I'm definitely looking for a 7 foot spinning rod.

I use a 6'8" Shimano Crucial dropshot rod and it works great. Think they also come in 7' size.

Shimano Cumara 7'2" Med Xfast. They classify it as a Dropshot rod, but it really isn't a one trick pony. It fishes a shakey head quite well. I fish other plastics on either an Avid 6'8" Med Xfast, or Loomis 6-8 Med Hvy Xfast.

Holy cow man. That would be a sweet rig to have. I'm wishing I'd never have bought an NRX, I want everything to be the same as them.

Well price isn't too much of an issue. I fish on a collegiate bass team and get pretty good prices from our sponsors

This is all you need: Dobyns DX 702SF (Med/Light) or DX 703SF (Med) with a Shimano Stradic CI4

X2 for the Cumara 7'2" Medium XFast. Perfect for shakeyhead. Great tip for shaking and a surprisingly strong backbone that will cross their eyes on the hookset.

All the rods mentioned would work fine, just a matter of finding one that you like!
