bassfisher70 Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 While reading a BASSIN magazine I read a tip the author said, while fishing a c-rig put a foam ear plug at the eye of the hook this allows the worm or lizard stay up in the strike zone or turn a t-rig worm or other plastic bait into a floating top water lure by simply threading the ear plug onto the hook until it covers the line eyelet.. Has anyone tried this? I am next time I go fishing. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted February 15, 2007 Super User Posted February 15, 2007 Yeah, I tried that. It's a heck of a lot easier said than done. Wasn't worth the effort, for me. Good luck with it. It may work for you. Cheers, GK Quote
Super User T-rig Posted February 16, 2007 Super User Posted February 16, 2007 I sometimes use special little round floats 1/4" in size and they just keed the bait of the bottom a few inches. Quote
Super User Catt Posted February 16, 2007 Super User Posted February 16, 2007 I find this works better and easier Betts® Carolina Floater: The only Carolina Floater for Carolina Rigs--it floats the rig above grass Quote
lunchbox508 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 i think the baitmonkey might force me into the car tomorrow to make a trip to buy some of these Quote
